IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. MA does not support the app anymore.

  2. But the app will still continue to exist in the app store for future developments, if any.

  3. As a best alternative for remotely accessing your console, MA has developed WebRemote from 3.1 update.

  4. So, if you’re using/running 3.1.0.8 and above, please consider using WebRemote than using the iPad App.

  5. Here’re the notes to use the grandMA2 WebRemote.

For those who are using/running a software version 3.0.0.5 and below, here’s the general procedure to connect your iPad App to your Console.

These are the list of things that we need for this setup. 1. iPad(obviously). 2. A computer or laptop on which you’re running MA2 software. [Click on the link below to download the latest version of MA Lighting software] [MA Lighting Software] 3. WiFi Router.

There are 2 setups that need to be done before using GrandMA2 on iPad/iPhone. 1. iPad/iPhone Settings 2. MA Software Network Settings

iPad/iPhone Settings

We’ll need the ‘MA Remote’ iPad/iPhone app to do this. Click here[MA Remote] if you want to download the app. After installing, 1. Open the iPad settings and turn ON the ‘Airplane Mode’. 2. Now turn ON the ‘Wi-Fi’ and connect to your Router. [Note for the I-Know-It-Alls: If you had your Wi-Fi turned ON before turning ON the Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi automatically turns off]

By this, we’re done with the iPad/iPhone settings.

MA Software Network Settings

  1.  Go to “Setup” >> “Network” >> “MA Network Control

  2. I would recommend you to use 192.168.0.x as IP address.

  3. If you’re not able to find 192.168.0.x IP address, a simple google search should help.

  4. Then Create a Session.

Now open the app on your iPad/iPhone and It’ll show you the Session ID with the Computer’s name you’re trying to connect with.

Enter the User ID & Password. And that’s it.

Thanks & Cheers!
